Hi! I’m Candace,

Thanks for stopping by! I never anticipated I would ever create my own website, but here we are...

 

I've lived in the Grand Rapids area most of my life. I received my undergrad degree in psychology at Albion College and my masters degree in social work at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). I currently work at a mental health facility as a social worker providing therapy to pre-teens, teens, and adults. I'm lucky enough to have variety in my job but it also comes with challenges - like making and dispersing resources to each setting I'm in. So, this is my way of solving that problem.

I've always been passionate about helping others, especially (pre)teens. I love being able to help young people explore who they are as a person, realize their strengths, and conquer challenging situations. Parents and guardians are an important part of this equation, too; without them, growth would be difficult to sustain. I'm hopeful this website can be not only a hub for information, but also a place of hope, acceptance, and connection.
